The South African BEE Enterprises Forum (SABEF) is an independent national network of high-impact Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs), Governments Institutions, Large Corporations, Private Investors and Media Houses involved in promoting, inspiring and growing a culture of entrepreneurship as a way of achieving faster and better economic development and job creation results.
Value Proposition Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) is the deliberate socio-economic intervention strategy and policy of the South African Government designed to re-address the imbalances of the past and to facilitate the participation of black communities in the mainstream economy. Designed according to the Broad-based BEE Framework, the enterprise development initiatives of SABEF facilitates entry of member SMMEs into the mainstream economies, focusing on the following four critical pillars of Broad-based BEE:
Our enterprise development initiatives provide SMMEs with operational infrastructure, access to funding and business support that enables them to compete in prominent sectors such as tourism, mining, agro-processing, manufacturing, technology, infrastructure development, power and renewable energy to name but a few. SABEF strategy aims to grow membership base by at least fifty percent per annum to reach at least 500 000 SMME Members by year 2020.
